Join us for Bee Keepers Day at Vinland Meads on Saturday, July 11th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for an afternoon of learning, sharing, and celebrating the bees that help make East Texas bloom.

🎤 Featured Speaker at 3:00 PM
We're excited to welcome Garett Slater of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Henderson.

Garett will bring a live observation hive and discuss:

🐝 The current state of bees in East Texas
🐝 Challenges facing local beekeepers
🐝 Seasonal hive management and best practices
🐝 Pollinator health and bee welfare
🐝 Questions and discussion with attendees

🍯 Community Honey Competition
Think your honey is the best in East Texas?

Bring a jar of your honey and let the crowd decide! Attendees will sample and vote for their favorites, and the winning beekeeper will receive a special Vinland Meads giveaway prize.

Whether you're a seasoned beekeeper, just getting started, or simply interested in supporting bee welfare and pollinator conservation, this event is open to the public and everyone is welcome.
